Bergen Norway 6 May to 8 May

This is probably one of the best trips I have done so far. The warmth from Jeanie, Ben, Carol and Greg made a lot of difference. In the beginning, I thought I was going to be quite lonely traveling alone but to my surprise, everything went well.

 

By the time I reached Bergen Airport, it was already 2pm. There was a little traffic congestion and I missed my stop to Jeanie’s place so that means I reached their place really late at about 5ish. And I assumed that the transportation works like in Denmark since they are both in the Scandinavia and are highly similar but of course I’m wrong. Have to pay a freaking 23NOK. So in end, I decided to walk and Ben and Jeanie were kind enough to join me. Got to see the beautiful city center littered with tulips that were planted in for the summer and the fake sakura tree that jeanie went ga ga over. We felt like we were in Amsterdam! hehe.

 

and of course i got my tickets for the norway in a nutshell at a cheaper price by buying them on student price! so proud and thanks to greg and rols for the information! i think i saved about 270NOK! damn cool.

o and i must talk about the lao pok bus ticketing system. i thought such a rich country will have something better than this! look at what is slung across one of the bus conductors and of course the ticket as well.

after which, we jumped tickets and went back home cuz we were shagged and hungry. it was about a 6km walk to the train station. a great feast awaits me. i really felt very pampered!!!

ben is hilariously a funny guy and very nice too;) just look at his face in the pic! haha.

a great night is ended with drinking hansa beer from norway.

on 7 may, it was the long awaited fjords tour and the weather was perfect:)

  met this taiwanese girl who is studying in france and found a partner to chat with!:)

 

damn shagged after the tour and came home to meet some ntu exchange students.

8 may – hiking time!

breathtaking view at mt floyen! it was really an achievement. even a norwegian mum with a pram reached the top faster than we did. lol.

to save the 23 NOK, we decided to walk back to the hostel. it was really difficult after the long hike to mt floyen and here is carolyn posing and SMILING. damn sporting. she was damn tired. all in all it was a good trip!

i have jeanie, ben, carol and ben to thank for the great trip and hospitality and God for a safe trip and wonderful weather.
