2nd post finally
okay, finally i have the time to start writing. paiseh been too busy! might have a bit of trouble recalling whatever happen though.
Well the beginning is always tough. my kitchen was really dirty. i mean hey this is denmark! isn’t it suppose to be a develop country with apparently better system? nej! you can see from the pics. i have also uploaded pics of my room.
but anyhow, i am beginning to adapt to the place already. the first week of danish crash course was difficult. i think danish is really hard to learn. there are like a lot of things where they spell but you don’t read them. so please take them out! and the pronounciation is pretty hard as well. having learnt english will help a lot in understanding but reading is pretty different.
something about the danes. they are pretty reserved unlike americans who will say hi to you like whereever you are. but once you get to know the danes, they can be your friends for life. many of them knew each other since like forever so it is really difficult for outsiders like us to cut into their conversation especially when they talk about their past. however to the danes, they do find it weird that we are able to make small talks out of nothing.
i had the fortune(sometimes i think back and i can’t say the same) of meeting a dane here on my first day. it was pretty coincidental that we met each other twice on the same day. it is a huge dorm i must say. he was pretty nice i guess to be a company while my room mate wasn’t here and the other singaporeans had their couple be it male-male or male-female.
second week was the introduction week. basically more get to know you and the school stuff. classes started but they are so messy. i really dislike the system they have here unlike our computerized and easy to manage system! those gave me some headaches for a while. however, copenhagen seems to be growing on me already and it helped quite a bit that my room mate is here too. she is korean;) well i have met quite a few koreans here.
third week just passed by through amongst visit from eileen and shuyi and parties and dinners and travel to malmo! the guys are really good cooks! hahaha i think i don’t have to cook already. lol. and now the fourth week. i have to start studying since i’ll be missing much classes for the sake of travelling. hopefully, my class timetable can get settled soon too!
we are turning into housewives and househusbands here. we squeal at every good promotion and share our happiness having saved a couple of kroners! well the life of poor exchange students.
